I'm glad you stopped by, as I appreciate your interest in this website. If we can all agree that online poker is ever-changing, then that is what sitandgocertified.com will strive to represent. Since the launch of several other of my websites like pokersitandgoreport.com and pokercalculatorreport.com, I can honestly admit that some of my views may have changed just as yours have, and a lot of that has to do with players I have interacted with online and learned from, just as much as they have learned from me. So thanks for that, especially those who participate in our poker forum.

In the content on this site you will find articles and videos which go beyond basic sit and go strategy and approach more advanced topics such as independent chip model math. However, you will also find here, a continuation of basic concepts such as profiling your opponents and on that note, I would like to invite you to download the free sit and go profiling report e-book at the top of this page. It is not a lengthy document, but it is an invaluable piece of information that I urge you to read as it was written with a the online poker player in mind.

Poker Stars security and the ICM debate

Should ICM calculators be banned? Poker Stars thinks so and has issued a warning as such by way of a recent posting on thier prohibited software page. The expulsions are not completely eradicating though because some pieces of software are fair use tools for analyzing your game after the fact. Poker Stars has approached that in a reasonable way too, but allowing them on the same hard-drive, but not while Stars is running. If you don't think the security at Satrs is serious about this then ask the boys over at Poker Edge where they have been at battle with Poker Stars (and Party Poker) for over a year now.

ICM calculators can help you make the proper mathematical play more consistenly in end game sit and go tournaments especially when it becomes a push or shove match. The principle is based on chip equity of the payout structure not your stack size.

More choices online for MTT Sit and Go Players

The wide variety of sit and go multi table tournaments keeps expanding. it wasnt so long ago that your choices were limited to 9/10 single table or the 4 buck 180 at Poker Stars. Since then of course, Full Tilt has become a major player and now and a very quick learner. While going through many trials, Full Tilt has varied their sit and go MTTs with Knock out and double stack versions, along with turbos and varing sizes that fill iup with 27, 45, 90 and 180 players.

Even the micro limit players can get in on this as there are sit and go MTTs that start at $1 each, although the rake of .25 is too high, they still fill up. best to beware these donk fests though, as you are just as capable at winning at bingo, but probably less frustrating.
